Minister Rishma Kuldipsingh of Economic Affairs, Entrepreneurship, and Technological Innovation (EZOTI) has emphasized that importers are not criminals but entrepreneurs trying to earn a living. She stated that every effort is being made to ensure that citizens do not pay more than necessary for essential goods.
The ministry continues to calculate the cost prices of basic goods and publishes the prices every two weeks on its Facebook page, so the public can verify them. However, they have not yet managed to include all basic goods on the list, which remains a challenge for the ministry in its efforts to ensure transparency and price stability.
The ministry is updating the list of essential goods and calls on the public to assist by providing relevant information. Minister Kuldipsingh highlights the importance of investing in entrepreneurship with programs such as SURGE, the CDB project, and initiatives for marketing and labeling.
She stresses the need for greater confidence in local products and production. As part of this, 450 companies will receive subsidies, including support, to transform their businesses. This aims to contribute to a stronger local economy and create more opportunities for entrepreneurs.
Minister Kuldipsingh has indicated that more than 90 percent of the government’s promises have been fulfilled. The recovery plan includes various projects, including initiatives to stimulate entrepreneurship. The minister is very pleased with the steps taken to promote entrepreneurship, contributing to the country’s economic growth and development. Her focus is on continuing to support entrepreneurs and creating a favorable climate for growth and innovation.
